APRM Versions V5R3M1 through V5R4M1 and HMC Release 6.0 and above.

Problem Summary
Version 6.0 of the HMC code changed the requirements for communications with the HMC
using Secure Shell (SSH) protocol.
Background
With version 6.0 of the HMC code, IBM has changed the requirements for communications
using Secure Shell (SSH). Because of this requirement, a new version of APRM (V5R4M3)
was created in May, 2007 capable of communicating with this level of the HMC's support code.
If versions of APRM from V5R3M1 through V5R4M1 are to be used with HMC code from 6.0 and later, it
will be necessary to apply a "patch" to the HMC's code to allow communications.
Issue
Versions of APRM earlier than V5R4M3 cannot successfully connect with the HMC's Secure Shell
(SSH) server on HMC releases at 6.0 and later without modification.
If APRM versions V5R3M1 through V5R4M1 must be used with this level of HMC code, then an HMC
patch must be installed to make this work correctly. It is NOT required to remove this patch
if/when the APRM release level is raised to V5R4M3 and later.
Solution
Either install APRM version V5R4M3 (or later) or apply the patch following these directions:

The "Install+Remove Instructions.txt" describes a choice of methods to perform
the HMC update. Read the directions from IBM and follow them:
